Our Organization
SISCRA, Inc. is an Idaho non profit corporation that was formed to develop, construct and
maintain a public campground on a 60 acre wooded area on the banks of Lake Cascade. This senior
citizen corporation was formed in the mid 70’s and was awarded a 30 year lease by the Bureau
of Reclamation in August 1978. A constitution and by-laws was established and a 15 member board
of directors was elected to over see operations of the corporation and campground.
Our Campground Development
Willow Creek Campground and RV Park was developed by SISCRA members who volunteered their time
and labor to clear land for camping spaces. Private donations were used to secure electricity,
construct rest room facilities, dig wells, and build roads. Construction of a recreation hall,
kitchen with a sheltered dining area and maintenance shop were added. Over the years, many improvements
have resulted in 200 camping spaces. The 15 board members do most of the park maintenance
to keep the campground clean and attractive. The gate keepers and rest room janitors are contracted
to assist with the daily park operations. Further assistance is provided by members who volunteer
their time to assist with many tasks in the park upkeep. The latest improvements to the park are
a handicap restroom and shower building and designated handicap RV camping spaces. New picnic
tables have been built and gravel on the roadway has helped with the dust problem.
Information about the Park
The campground is operated on a seasonal basis, from mid-May to mid-September. It is open
to anyone wishing to camp on a daily or a seasonal rate. Senior citizen discounts, similar to the
Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful, are available by becoming a member of SISCRA.
The membership and seasonal monthly fees provide most of the operation capital of the corporation.
Park conveniences include electric hookups, water to fill fresh water tanks, an RV dump station and
a “honey wagon” to remove sewage and waste water from the RV's. The rest rooms provide
flush toilets, sinks and hot water showers. Horseshoe pits are provided in a couple of areas in
the park. There is a boat launching ramp and dock with trailers parking. The recreation hall has
a pool table, jigsaw puzzles, books to read and at times live music for your dancing and listening
pleasure. The fee and rent monies are used for park operations, improvements and enhancements as
directed by our constitution.
Area Recreational Information
Many park visitors enjoy fishing and boating on Lake Cascade and other surrounding lakes
and streams. Many trails and road are available in the area for hiking or riding an ATV into some back
woods areas. Much wildlife can be seen in the park and surrounding area including deer, fox, squirrels
and chipmunks, waterfowl and on occasional a bear will visit our camp. Many species of birds make their
way into the area and they are well fed by the park residents.
